Author Instructions

Presentation time and schedule:

• Regular oral presentations are 12 minutes. Please make sure to strictly keep this time limit. Additionally, 2 minutes of discussion time is foreseen for each presentation.
• The detailed programme, including the time and location of all presentations, is available in the dynamic programme. Click here for details, and please double‑check your presentation time on the day of your session, as changes may occur.

Formatting instructions:

• Presentations in .ppt, .pptx and .pdf formats will be accepted. If you prepare your presentation using Apple Keynote, please ensure that it displays correctly by testing it on a Windows PC.
• Avoid including external links in your presentation, as the presentation computers might not have an internet connection.
• Non-standard fonts must be embedded.
• All images and graphs must be inserted as embedded files rather than linked objects.
• Video files may cause technical issues. If you intend to use video material, please verify that it functions properly when submitting your presentation.

Presenting on site:

• Please meet your session chairs inside the conference room at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of your oral session and take a moment to familiarize yourself with the technical equipment. Under this link, you can find the respective Theme Chairs for your theme

Poster Layout:

Your poster should be prepared in upright/portrait orientation in DIN A0 format: maximum width 33 inches (84 cm) and maximum height 47 inches (119 cm). Please ensure that all text is sufficiently large to be read comfortably from a distance of 1–2 metres.

Poster Design:

We do not prescribe specific design rules for posters, as many institutions have their own guidelines for how authors should format their posters.

Typically, a poster includes the logo of your institution as well as the conference logo.

Presenting Your Poster:

All poster rows will be displayed according to the conference themes and will remain accessible throughout the entire conference. The format is intentionally open, allowing participants to move freely between posters and engage with authors in an informal, interactive setting.

To support engagement between participants, Best Poster jury members, and poster authors, dedicated poster sessions will take place on 15, 16, and 17 September from 13:45 to 14:45.

Authors are kindly requested to be present at their poster at some point during these sessions to facilitate interaction and discussion.

Please note that posters do not include a separate oral presentation. Oral presentations are reserved exclusively for contributions accepted for an oral session.

Poster Mounting and Removal:

Authors are responsible for printing the poster in advance and bringing them to the conference. On‑site printing is not available.

Poster mounting takes place on Monday afternoon, 14 September, after 14:30. Mounting materials will be provided.

A poster list will be displayed in the poster area to help you locate your assigned board. Your poster number can be found in the conference programme. 

Posters are an integral part of the scientific programme. We kindly request that you do not remove your poster before the end of the conference. Posters may be removed only after the closing session on Thursday, 17 September. Posters left behind after the conference will be discarded.

All authors of accepted oral and poster contributions are expected to submit a full paper for inclusion in the conference proceedings. The proceedings will be published with individual DOIs in the publicly accessible and searchable ISES online database: http://proceedings.ises.org/.

The deadline for full paper submission is 10 September 2026.

Full paper requirements:  
Please prepare your manuscript strictly according to this official full paper template. This year, we are also offering a LaTex version. The maximum length of each paper is 12 pages. Submissions that do not follow the template may be excluded from the review process.

Copyright agreement:  
Each full paper must be accompanied by a completed copyright agreement. The form can be downloaded here. Papers submitted without a signed copyright agreement cannot be considered in the review process.

Submission process:  
Authors will receive a personalised upload link via email. This link must be used to submit both the full paper and the corresponding copyright agreement.
