08:00 - Departure

The tour will depart by bus from the hotel and proceed to the Schwarzwald Milch dairy production facility, located approximately 10 minutes from the meeting point.

08:00 - 08:30 - Schwarzwald Milch

Explore advanced process heat pump technology and integrated waste heat recovery systems, coupled to a district heating network, focusing on their application in industrial heating and future energy optimization plans.

08:40 - Scenic Transfer to the Black Forest 

The bus will leave the Schwarzwald Milch and head into the Black Forest, taking participants on a scenic one‑hour journey with sweeping views of the region’s iconic landscape. After this picturesque ride, the bus will drop the group at the Rothaus Brewery in Grafenhausen.

09:45 - 13:30 - Rothaus Brewery

Join a technical tour of the brewery and see the solar thermal integration in the bottle washing facility. Discuss operational data and performance during a networking traditional food lunch.

13:40 - Transfer to Schluchsee - The tour continues deeper into the Black Forest toward Schluchsee.

14:30 - 15:00 - Schluchsee, Bioenergy Village 

Analyze the design and operation of Schluchsee’s solar district heating system. Examine the integration of bioenergy and solar thermal solutions for decentralized heat supply.

15:30 - Return to Freiburg

Departure by bus back to the Novotel Freiburg am Konzerthaus.

11:00 - 11:40 - Water Treatment and Separation Laboratory
